VY2  (Vocaloid)

The second voicebank, after VY1, to be produced by Yamaha itself. VY2 is intended for professional musicians and, according to Yamaha, is intended to be a high quality voicebank. As a note of the previous Vocaloid VY1, VY2 can be viewed as whatever the user wishes it to be, though the voice itself is a "young masculine" vocal. The tone of voice was intended to convey the image of a handsome young male with the voicebank itself being easy to use without heavy modifications. The scripts used for recording the samples were identical to those of its counterpart VY1.

Though VY2 has no official avatar, a design by the illustrator Manbou no Ane won a Vocaloid Festa (VocaFes) contest for her fan visualization. Manbou no Ane's design, nicknamed 66, or ロロ (Roro), has become the most common fan depiction of VY2.

VY2 has since received an updated VOCALOID3 voicebank, as well as a voicebank designed for singing falsetto.
